I have to admit that I m in the minority and don t like a lot of Richard Scarry s books This one has some really pretty illustrations, not too many words mainly lots of good verbs to add to her vocabulary , and my toddler loves it I ve read it roughly 12,457 times and still like it, and isn t that the highest recommendation

    3. Betty Boothe says:
I know that this is a silly book to add to my list But the pictures are wonderful, the words are wonderful, and I still have fond memories of reading it aloud again and again The rooster struts, the chick tries to strut d the sloth hardly moves at all I guess that, sometimes, I am easily amused.

    4. Jenna says:
I liked the illustrations and the babies were definitely staring at it or trying to grab it from my hands , but the text itself was a bit stale and repetitive, without any real rhythm to it Not my favorite animal book.

    5. Jonathan Davis says:
Not only does this book amaze my 5 month old daughter but I find myself lost in the delightful art work She will smile at and anticipate the turn of each page Her favorite picture right now is of the frogs the fish come in a close second Any book that makes my baby happy, makes me happy.

    6. Janet says:
Not the typical Scarry illustrations, but beautifully done illustrations of animals moving.
